Drew Hawley grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. Coming from wealth, having his college tuition paid for, and then, not really having to work for a living, he idled through life with ease. When his granddad died and left him a fortune, bypassing his dad, Drew figured he was set for life, and didn’t really concern himself much with others.
Cory Merkley, a military man who worked for the Veterans’ Administration, volunteered at a foodbank, and lived simply on a tight budget, felt as if he were constantly battling the current government’s cutbacks. As the wealthy grew fatter, and the poor thinner, he struggled to help the people in his community.
Then, Cory and Drew met. Cory was at a county office arguing for more benefits for vets, while Drew wanted his inheritance, ASAP.
A match made in heaven? Probably not. But… what Drew found out was that the news media, his parents, and the rich and powerful who ran the country had lied. Lied to the citizens of this country, lied to the world, and covered up for a regime so corrupt that it was out of control.
After years of believing one way, and then, having his eyes opened to what were facts, reality, and the truth, Drew finally understood. And fell in love on the way.
